The majority of my doctors have been male. Personally? I don't care. I DO care that they are good in their field, listen to me and are responsive to my needs.

No issue. Can't say I ever thought about it. Since I just had prostate surgery this past summer. I guess it's a good thing I had no issue with such a subject.

OP: I gather you are female. Having my druthers, and being female, I prefer a female doctor. Females know about the females so much more than a male could ever. Male MD's know about males better than females...
I have had a lot of males, but my current integrative MD is female and I like it that way. Hope I never lose her. She does all my health issues, I don't go to ob gyn, don't have to my doctor does it all.

Same reason many guys don't want to get a massage from a guy...they're afraid of the whole gay thing...more comfie with the opposite sex. Yeah, guys are weird.
