My elderly uncle, 80 years old, who also has COPD and carries around an oxygen tank, recently suffered a bad seizure. I'm not sure what type of seizure it was, but I know it was very severe. He is now in a coma but I'm unclear on everything and not sure whether or not he is on life support. I know most of you aren't doctors or even medical experts, but based on these details, what do you think my uncle's chances are of coming out of this coma? I've been told it's not good, but just figured I'd come for a second (honest) opinion.
No one responded b/c no one could have predicted the outcome with any certainty.
