I second the motions to stop taking any supplements or vitamins. And see another doctor, this is not a place for such advise.

Just in the spirit of sharing I can say that I had terrible fatigue a year ago and it turned out I had anemia. But I'm guessing the doctor woul've already run this test for you.

What you're mentioning is not just fatigue though as I didn't need 2 cups of coffee just to talk to people. There was no effect in my mood.

Good luck!

Perhaps the OP needs to tell her original doctor about all the supplements and vitamins she’s taking if she hasn’t done so already. That should be the first step. Then her original doctor might have some ideas. Either way, she should stop talking the vitamins and supplements to see if it helps. No one here can diagnose you or tell you what is wrong with you, but it certainly can’t hurt to stop taking non-prescribed supplements to see if that’s causing the problem.

Maybe you should be checked by an allergist, especially for food allergies. A lot of people are allergic to shell fish and the next reaction could be serious.

That's just one idea though. Also, someone said to stop the 5-HTP. I don't know much about it but I have read that it should only be taken under a dr's supervision. Side effects of taking something like that could make you worse. Maybe stop all the extra supplements as you are only 30 and you already eat well. Usually it's not a good idea to take supplements unless you've been tested and shown to be deficient. Taking the wrong supplement or too much of something can throw you out of balance.

Good that you will be getting mental health help too. Keep at it until you find out what's wrong--allergies, thyroid, depression, whatever.
All of this, plus a second opinion regarding your lump on your neck. Have them do blood tests for lyme disease and Epstein barr.

Take all your meds and supplements to the nearest pharmacy and have the pharmacist check them for cross-tolerance reactions.

I hope that you find your answers soon, and I hope that you get your health back on track. Please keep updating.

Wow... OIL??? I actually didn't use oil much of last year or the year before. Only started this year. I'll have to cut it out again.

One can go crazy IF they listened to everyone's answer to this and that. Get with a GOOD integrative MD I would think and tackle 1-2 things at a time. I use oils as all I've read are pretty positive. There are good and bad oils, do research there. Our brain needs good fats/oils. Bill ate a lot of crap too.

And the two worlds speaking: allopathic vs holistic/integrative

You cant post even one reputable site to support your claims.

As someone else posted on C-D recently, there is a difference between opinion and educated opinion. Anyone can have an opinion but when the reasoning behind the opinion is faulty, and those with educated, experienced opinions counter it, then maybe, just maybe, the less educated/experienced opinion should be examined and changed.

The doctor tested my thyroid levels and took an ultrasound and said my test results came back normal and from the ultrasound it looks like a cyst, nothing to be worried about. I exercise on a regular basis and eat pretty healthy. I don't eat processed sugars or a lot of junk food. I meal prep a lot of my own food.. I make soup, stews, salads, chicken and vegetables, etc. I also take 5HTP and St. John's Wort, fish oil and other vitamins.

I don't understand why I sleep for 12 hours sometimes and when I wake up, I just want to lay in bed and mope. I have to force myself to get up out of bed and when I get to work, I've been drinking 2 cups of coffee just to boost my mood so I can talk to people. I have no motivation and I get stressed out quite easily, even by a text message or meeting friends. I get stressed about running around and usually arrive late. I just want to do nothing and lay in bed. I don't even like sexual pleasures anymore. I don't feel sad though. I just feel drained.

Not sure if this is related, but I recently developed a shrimp/iodine allergy. Never had it before but it recently popped up... I don't get an anaphylactic reaction but I get a skin rash on my neck around the area where the lump is. I have also noticed that when I eat, it feels like there's still food in my throat/nose 2-3 hours after I eat.

Not sure if this is a chemical imbalance from depression causing all this or another medical condition that isn't showing up on the tests but this doesn't feel normal... I'm really struggling with the quality of my life even though the papers say everything is fine. I think someone here mentioned that their thyroid levels also came back normal but they knew something was off. I can't remember what they did about it next. Any suggestions from similar experience are welcome. Thanks.

Oh yeah, I am scheduled to see a psychiatrist next week so I'll have to mention to her about what's going on.
Did you doctor do a full blood workup on you, or just thyroid? That would be the first thing you would want to do. If you did have all your blood work done I would stop with all the supplements. I am not saying they are bad to take, but there may be something in them that is causing this. If you still feel the same after a period of time, you can add them back in.

You may also want to schedule an appointment with an endocrinologist. They can do a more thorough check of your thyroid levels and check for other possible causes.

I'll second the suggestion for a check up by an endocrinologist per reasoning above. The symptoms are suggestive of possible hormone or thyroid imbalance why not utilize expertise above a General Practitioner.

Why should the OP spend all this money on specialists BEFORE stopping the supplements? That makes no sense. I know in the past, when I’ve had really bizarre or scary symptoms, in many cases they have been the result of a medication I was taking. The first thing to think about is any change with respect to supplements, medications, and diet that might have resulted in the symptoms.
