On departure from my overnight stay in the hospital the resident doctor gave me a prescription for pain killers Oxycodone being at the top of the list, not sure why he prescribed such a drug that is causing so many a lot of addiction problems particularly when i'm experiencing no pain.
Shredded that prescription.

Good idea - why take a risk if you don't even need to!

Waiting for this darn fistula to mature, as yet i'm not seeing anything a dialysis tech could stick a needle in, found a good forum called "i hate dialysis" in the mean time i'm so full of water i feel like im drowning, im also losing my eyesight from macular degeneration and my hearing is failing as my head filsl with water,
Ive certainly had better times in my life.

Jambo~

I am sorry that you must undergo dialysis and about your eyesight. Unfortunately, I completely understand the position you find yourself in.

Have you contacted your nearest State school for the blind? It is far easier to learn some of the skills that you will need whilst you still have some usable sight.

Please feel free to DM me if you wish to discuss the loss of your vision.

I wish you peace,
Melanie

So sorry to hear that, Jambo. Have you started dialysis yet, or are you waiting till the fistula can be used?

Hope they're able to find measures that will mitigate your discomfort.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
