My husband and I decided on a vasectomy when our first was a year old. We did it for financial reasons and because I had a horrible pregnancy and suffered from terrible PPD. This week, I was over a week late, and mentioned it to him kiddingly. He said he would be ecstatic. I knew he wanted more kids but was okay with just the one. During the time I was late, I was really hoping his vasectomy failed. I realized that I want to experience motherhood again, I want another baby. Coincidentally, at the same time, he has been complaining of pain in his right testicle where the operation was performed. I am so desparately hoping it is growing back together. He had the vasectomy about a year ago and did go in for his check, to find no "swimmers". Is there anyone out there like me, or can anyone advise me on his pain? We cannot and will not get a reversal..

I can't explain the pain or your lateness, but my husband's doctor said it's very rare for a vasectomy to fail. I do know what you mean about doing it too soon. My hubby had one 6 years ago when our son was 2. He was determined that one was all he wanted. I was ok with it. Didn't really want our son to be an only child but no overwhelming need to have another. Then in the last year or so we have both thought it would be great to have another now that we are in a better place finanically. You can have the vasectomy reversed but it's more expensive than the original procedure or at least my hubby's doctor told us this and they can't guarantee it. Good luck!
Are you 2 Wanting another baby? If yes talk to his doctor....friends of mine had his sperm removed under general & placed in his wife...had beautiful boy nine months later.
It is very unlikely after a year that there will be a failed surgery. The pain in his testicle needs to be check out right away. If you are even considering the idea of reversal or even if you are not, you want to make sure he does not have anything serious going on.
