Bee sting on my ear (hives, cause, later)

I am not sure if this is in the right spot but anyway.

I am a bee keeper and seldom get stung.
When I do it is just a little bit of an annoyance.
I also suffer from tinnitus.

So yesterday when the wife and I were checking out our hives with no bee gear on I got nailed in my right ear.
I didn’t hardly feel it but the wife looked and scraped out a stinger.
It was about a half inch from the ear hole.

Not a big thing at all, in fact I could hardly tell or feel it.

The funny or rather odd thing was that later into the night I realized that there was no ringing from that ear as I laid in bed.

I am bringing this up because I found it odd.
