Okay thanks. I tried this but nothing, still awake. The only days I sleep are days off, but even then I keep waking up, and it's not that good. It's psychological as my body will not sleep knowing I have to get up to go a job I loathe, and on days off, I'm still agitated.
I tried exercising and that helps, but only on the days I have time to exercise, as it's time consuming and do not have time to do it everyday. Is it possible to get enough exercise in a day, that the body can be worn out to want to sleep for the rest of the weeks perhaps?
Having my Kindle solved insomnia for me. I can read in bed, in the dark, so when I DO get sleepy, I'm already IN bed. I HAVE to get my mind off what I'm ruminating over, so reading a book engages me and stops the "monkey mind" that prevents sleep. It's the best solution I've come across.
In any case, I'm really sorry this is happening to you, OP.
It's alright, thanks. I tried the whole reading a book before if I have time and am not working but then after I put down the book, my mind is racing at all the anger of the thought of going to the job I loathe the next day.
When it comes to have sleep deprivation though, is there anyway to deal with it and drive better? I have had quite a few close call accidents from driving tired, and was wondering if there is anything I can do to wake my brain up more while driving?
I don't want to drink coffee or take any kind of stimulates though, cause I am trying to get more tired at night, and I'm guessing that will make it more difficult. So is there anything else I can do wake my mind up?
I think it depends on how close to sleep you feel. If you’re partly there, I would stay in bed. If you feel more or less wide awake, or not really sleepy, then I would get up.
According to sleep research, insomniacs usually overestimate the amount of time they are awake. If you're tossing and turning after half an hour get up. Otherwise, try to relax - that is restful in itself and you'll likely at least doze off and get some sleep even if you don't realize it.
Okay thanks. Well I tried some of the sleeping remedies suggested to me on here, and my problem is, is that the reason why I am having trouble sleeping is cause I can't stand my job and career, to the point where it's keeping me up out of pure frustration and anger, and that frustration is so powerful that it overpowers any sleep remedy I've tried so far it seems.
Gosh...I really should have read on....so do you think the might be therapy to either accept your job or to help you figure out a new job? Is this obvious? You're young - you have options - use them!
I've posted all my sleep supports and this is also a place where the little tab of Clams Forte' is so great to have at nightstand for those lay awake times.
