I was very surprised to learn this. In an article about the First Amendment, I was startled to read that Ralph Nader, of all people, had championed this, feeling it was the right of the public to be made aware. Of course, he had no idea that it would backfire in a way that would reap huge profits for manufacturers, and get more of the population on medication, for good or ill. (No pun intended.)

“I was a bit queasy about it because I had the sense that we were unleashing something, but nowhere near what happened,” Mr. Nader said. “It was one of the biggest boomerangs in judicial cases ever.”

It was something the tobacco industry voluntary agreed to as part of the 1998 Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement

Also free enterprise - drop cable and use Netflix or Amazon Prime Video = don't have to see ads again.

I got rid of cable and I don't know what's new with the drug world. Wonder if I'm missing something good.

I get ads for supps since this my main focus on healing and we are all tracked as to what we research, right.

You mean the USSR. Russia is a completely free enterprise market. Where have you been since 1990?
