I was very surprised to learn this. In an article about the First Amendment, I was startled to read that Ralph Nader, of all people, had championed this, feeling it was the right of the public to be made aware. Of course, he had no idea that it would backfire in a way that would reap huge profits for manufacturers, and get more of the population on medication, for good or ill. (No pun intended.)
