I would miss my bottles of water at 5 different spots in my apt. I am forever sipping water. Not tap cwappy waters.

I know this was suppose to be a light hearted thread, but that is seriously not healthy.

Ironically, you should not be eating that and it shouldn’t take a doctor to tell you the same.
My 63YO Mexican roommate of 19 years, has 2-3-4 beers every single night, and I know no night that he missed his beer. I never eat a big piece. The cake is in a 9X13 pan, and I cut it into 12 pieces, and I never take 2 pieces. And no I'm not overweight either. Like I said in a previous post, it's my injection of "heroin" for the day!

I alternate: white cake/white frosting, white cake, chocolate frosting, chocolate cake, white frosting, chocolate cake, chocolate frosting. And when energetic I'll do 7-Minute Frosting (oh so yummy!) but that takes standing for 7 minutes to make it.

By the way, I'm 68YO going on 69.

Yes, a little meat is OK. There's a difference between a small side of meat and an entire leg of sheep.

For me, it's cake with rich frosting. I have a piece of cake 365 days of the year, after dinner, and if my Dr. told me I couldn't eat cake anymore, I might have to call the Suicide Prevention Hotline!

I could be totally wrong...BUT I do believe THIS was the "sense of humor, HA-HA. LOL, ROFLO, hysterically funny" (to me anyway) that has been "lost in translation". SanyBelle was insinuating that their doctor was calling them a fatty and NOT speaking about "fatty food". I had to read it twice because I knew I was "missing something" and the sealed it.

The eating of cake every day is NOT the funny part of this thread!

Now back to the thread...myself personally, I would love to eat a piece of cake every single day along with a half gallon of Rocky Road or Moosetracks ice cream for dinner, by myself if I allowed myself to indulge. I'd love to, I just don't.

If a Dr. told me I had to give up one food...I can't even imagine what it would be because I eat healthy. Okay, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes...or coffee.

Why is eating cake every day offensive? My husband would do it in a heartbeat if we kept it in the house! He came happy from Thanksgiving with 2 1/2 pies and is freakin' thrilled. He'll eat pie every day until they are gone.

I'm not offended by pie, or cake, or brownies! OMGoodness do I miss brownies! (I did have to give up sugar for health reasons, and that was really hard)

You can also freeze the pies in individual portions if there is too mug to eat! We have done that in the past.

Right. People can take it any way they please and come up with interesting answers.

Where are the humorous responses to the humorous query? MIA. Maybe "lighthearted" would be a better way to describe it.

Hard to say, I guess it would king salmon for me. Fat chance a doctor would tell me such a thing, not that I would take their word as gospel. It does seem possible, however, that this species will become endangered, in which case I definitely won't be eating it.

Salt, ice cream, and avocados.

I would give them up if my life depended on it - but so far my doctor hasn't insisted.

Knocking on wood!

Oh your comments brought back thoughts of my alcoholic father, who ate every sweet thing in sight when he wasn't imbibing alcohol. Major addiction and never worked to change.

I don't put cake, cookies, donuts, etc into the healthy food groups.
