I've had white spots on my nails and was told by a dermatologist that they are the result of the nail growing out after an injury to the cuticle.

Re the rash, it certainly does look like a simple skin reaction to something topical -- but it could also be something more serious. No one can diagnose it over the internet.

OP, it truly doesn't look like anything to be panicked about.

You don't mention that it hurts or itches.

You don't mention whether it's spreading rapidly.

You don't mention other "symptoms."

And you say it's happened before.

Make an appointment with your doctor – YES, your regular doctor will be fine – and work on that panicking thing in the meantime.

that is a hard one to figure out.
my three opinions:

1. put both of your hands in really cold water for 2 minutes. that works for me...sometimes.
2. if #1 does not meet your satisfaction, try Vicks VapoRub. do not know why, but it has provided relief.
3. if After trying 1 and Then trying 2 without the results you want, then pay a doctor to determine causes.
