I don't recall having any of these type injections over the years and I'll be seeing the D.O. I've seen for Prolo and bodywork in less than 2 weeks, and his new site shows that he does TPI . His office has moved to larger quarters and he's doing more now. I'm thinking of this for the inside of knee -- soft tissue pain -- and maybe even the neuropathy on my thigh from nerve damage from hip replacement.

I keep searching for options.

I did them as part of my recovery plan after a car accident. They were helpful.

I believe these injections often contain corticosteroids, which I thought you were firmly against, at least based on previous posts you've made.

There are those without steroids. I've read up on these. And true I don't want steroids pumped into my body if I can help it.

Trigger point injections are frequently given as pain relief to those suffering neck and back pain. Sometimes they are given as an epidural. Other times they may be given into the facet joints. My clients who get them report they provide good pain relief, but the injection wears off after a few weeks and necessitates other injections. Insurance is a limiting factor too. Many insurance companies will only pay for them every six months or so. They general do involve giving steroids.
