I don't recall having any of these type injections over the years and I'll be seeing the D.O. I've seen for Prolo and bodywork in less than 2 weeks, and his new site shows that he does TPI . Trigger point injections are frequently given as pain relief to those suffering neck and back pain. Sometimes they are given as an epidural. Other times they may be given into the facet joints. My clients who get them report they provide good pain relief, but the injection wears off after a few weeks and necessitates other injections. Insurance is a limiting factor too. Many insurance companies will only pay for them every six months or so. They general do involve giving steroids.
