Yikes, I didnt know how painful this was or how much I used my stomach muscles!
I know exactly when it happened too, I was on my knees at work, and twisted a weird way, and I felt it flare up, yesterday wasnt too bad though, I was able to work, drive and move around ok, it still hurt, but not too bad, then last night, it really started hurting bad, and when I tried to lay down in bed, it just made it hurt much worse, I can feel pain with every breath I take, the muscle must be right on top of my left lung, coughing or sneezing hurts too.
I dread to think how long this is going to last, just because its almost impossible to rest this muscle, I guess if I sat totally still in a chair for 2 days straight, without ever moving, it may heal... but just the slightest movement, and it flares up with pain!
Just curious if anyone else has ever had this and figured out a way to deal with it, or that it heals faster.
You've probably had pulled muscles before. You know how long they take to heal-- usually make daily progress. Yours sounds extraordinarily painful & unusual.
If you're getting worse instead of better, or if you're not making daily progress like you should- see your doc. I can think of several things other than just a pulled muscle it could be that are serious or could become serious.
