I've started getting strange discharge and I have been itchy for a while. my mother suggested i frequently wash with a teaspoon of soda mixed with water and it has been helping, I've been less itchy the last few days and I've been getting less of that discharge. there's barely any odor. here's a picture of the discharge. looks less yellow in person

I am not going to click on that photo. But it sounds like a yeast infection.

Moderator: THANK YOU!!!!!

OP, the only way to really know what is inhabiting you is to get a culture. There are way too many possibilities.

Now I agree that it sounds like yeast, but just because yeast is common doesn't mean that's what you've got. It also sounds like chlamydia, and chlamydia requires treatment, it can have long-term health effects.

If you don't have or can't afford a doc, there are options. If you've been sexually active and have a discharge, your county health department or Planned Parenthood will help you, either for free or at a very low cost. If you're in school, so will your school nurse. Walk-in urgent care clinics are cheaper than docs.
