My husband is diabetic and has rhematiod arthritis and is on many pills for both conditions.. Yesterday he got all this tablets as he thought then he noticed one he used to get for gout four years ago but had a label on the back for an RA medicine he takes..with his name, date and how to take the tablets.. It had been checked also four times by the chemist and passed. this is totally not acceptable and hes gone just now to talk to them at the pharmacy....
Glad he caught it and recognized it. Shouldn't have happened, but of course, human error is unavoidable. Something somewhat along those lines did happen to me once, but I also caught it.
Did you use the online pill identifier? Sometimes my Rx for the same thing come in different shapes, sizes and colors.

I went shopping at the grocery store one day and came home to find someone's prescription in my grocery bag ! Don't know how it got to the check out lane but I called the pharmacy and they asked me to return it, which I did. Mistakes do happen.
I was thinking more of the wrong medicines in the wrong hands and what it might have caused. sorry for being a bore..
My apologies for being snarky. I was replying before my coffee and shouldn't have responded as I did. I am glad the mistake was caught and everyone is OK.
Retail pharmacy should be automated. There is no reason not to. It will prevent many errors
