Not quite the same, so thanks anyway. Yes, as the other poster said, there are a lot of scams out there but I was wanting some recommendations. I'll check the other similar thread about this, have a really nice day. Bye for now.
And I'm sure there are different companies that serve different parts of our country.
I had one for a 6 month use and never used it, thank goodness, it was thru a social services here in our town that help lower income seniors. When the 6 months was up, they wanted $30/mo and I had them take away the system.

That's one thing that bothers me. We are just above the poverty level -- and so don't qualify for a free monitor system. And $30 a month turns into 360 a year, and for two of us it would be more expensive, so right now I carry my phone with me as much as possible. I learned recently that there is a nice volunteer system in Broward County Florida where seniors are called once a day if desired and if they don't answer, emergency numbers are called, then finally the fire department, which is why I need to look into getting a lockbox for responders to open the door in case. Thanks, jamin.
Bought my Dad a Lifeline Alert system in his later years, it saved his butt on several occasions when he fell or passed out , the rental of the unit cost me $60 a month Canadian, for the peace of mind it brought it was well worth the cost.
I think I posted several options on your other thread...
Nothing is free if you want someone to monitor AND call EMS for you.
BTW: The $30 a month its nothing compared to a lost life. Unless, you don't care, but then why bother to be monitored? Volunteers calling once a day are great, but useless when you fall after you answer the phone and lie on the floor having a heart attack and waiting for them to call 24 hrs later.
What you could do, is install a camera in a common area (kitchen, living room) and have a close friend or family monitor it per phone. Even if you fall in another room, they at least could hear you calling for help.
Those cameras are great - day and night vision, voice and motion control. Price - about $50 just that one time. Then connect to the internet and give permission access to someone else.
