Ive tried the Blue Mucienx, it didnt work that great, and I woke up with a headache the times I took it.
I know there is like 5 billion different types of allergy, sinus, mucus medicine, but Id like to focus on just those that treat the build up and/or prevention of phlegm from forming.
Whats happening, SO MUCH phlegm builds up on my lungs, it interferes with my ability to breath, doesnt really get better until later in the day, after I can cough up and spit out a good deal of the phlegm.

Without knowing WHY this buildup keeps happening, how can you expect to treat it effectively? OTC symptom relievers aren't miracle workers and used incorrectly they can mask what's really going on.
If you are having breathing problems, than the time for OTCs has passed. If you think it is actually post nasal drip, you can try and anti-histamine. However, with the severity you are reporting, you need to see a physician. Mucinex is an expectorant.
You need an expectorant...and maybe need to drink more water to thin it out. What does your doctor say?
I agree with this, an expectorant only, without anything else. And cough it up and spit it out. I'd also stop dairy for a little while to see if that helps.
Definitely check with your doctor if it doesn't clear up.
You may have a sinus infection. The goop drains down your throat causing a lot of coughing. I just went through this, thinking it was a cold that had gone to my chest. My doctor listened to my lungs and said they were clear, but what was causing all the coughing was the drainage from my sinuses. At night it drains down to the back of your throat and gets goopy and hangs around your throat and blocks your breathing, hence all the coughing to clear it.
If this has gone on for more than a week, see a doc and get it checked out before you end up in the hospital or something.
