Tylenol is Acetaminophen and not an anti inflammatory but only pain. I often take one of each every 6 hrs. They all can cause damage. If we don't get damage, we are fortunate for sure.

Naproxen spiked BP when I tried it years ago.

I make sure I have FOOD in my stomach no matter.
I do take 2 iburprofen at night or sometimes mid morning for may back. My doctor has never indicated I am overdoing it, so I feel it is ok. It would be rare for me to take more.

Don't be foolish. Do some research.

regardless where you read this, I will trust my doctor, the 2 nurse practitioners in our family and a few others to advise me about how much is safe. I don't think most of us are thinking in terms or take 10 or so a day. We all know any possible side effects, regardless how rare are listed somewhere. All we have to do is research a little.

Oh the doctors won't say one is overdoing it if one takes the min amounts, I was taking 2 every 6 hours just like they had me on in the rehabs but the docs don't know everything and what could be going on in our bodies. I have no issues and glad I'm taking 1 every 6 hrs since the HGH gel I'm doing. It's making a nice difference and less drugs.

A friend's doc had her taking 800mg and I'm not sure how often but she claims she ended up with afib due to the ibuprofen.

On the other hand the D.O. I see for bodywork wants me off all ibuprofen.

I was prescribed 500mg Naproxin twice a day for OA. At one point in time it was cheaper for me to buy Aleve instead of the prescription, so I started taking 2 Aleve, total 440mg, twice a day. Been doing that for probably close to 20 years. It's the only thing that helps the pain (back and hip). Doc just checks the liver panel.

Both Aleve and Tylenol can make one very constipated.

I took it way back in the 80s for a bone cyst in my right arm. The pain was severe, like it was broken for years. I took it for probably 4 or 5 years. It cut up my stomach and even now I can't take it anymore. I stick to Advil.

So you are saying Advil is easier on the stomach..this is what I take. 1 every 6 hrs. Make sure food is in my stomach and I take extra magnesium to keep regular as they are all hard on the system.
