My friend has Aetna Medicare PPO and told me that they quoted her about $600 out of pocket costs. This is a 20% charge which seems likely. Does any Medicare coverage other than supplement cover it for less?

I had sessions of SynVisc one year and then some yrs later Eufflexa which are HA injections like the Orthovisc...different companies I guess. Medicare picked up 80%, my copay was 20% and I don't remember what the dollars to me were... they didn't help me. All medical treatments have gone up so be prepared.

What does this mean, you had HA in all these areas and got 22 yrs from them and no money.

Synvisc injections only in the knees (cortisone injections in knees, back and shoulders).

I was trying to be somewhat funny - $0 out of pocket costs because my injections are covered by Tricare or the VA.

The actual cost was my 22 years of service in Army which resulted in my chronic knee, back and shoulder pain and caused the need for the injections.

How can you have Medicare PPO AND a supplement? It’s either one or the other.

Ahhh. No Medicare PPO covers only 80%, but PPO means no out of network, or need foe referrals

Our supplemental is also PPO....no co pays.network

We are both medical folks am
Nd always pick our own specialists, hospitals, etc

It is not cheap tho

Luckily we can afford the best.no referrals, .no out of
Network
