The doctors found nothing wrong. No blockage, slightly enlarged prostate, some pain in the testicles, but no lumps or bumps that aren't supposed to be there. BTW-Everything is back to normal.

Hi all, 66 year old male, happily married for 44 years. I've been using Viagra for a few years for obvious reasons. My wife and I have regular sex, but I haven't experienced climax for almost a year. Today I had a reaction to Viagra that I haven't experienced before. Right now, I'm shaky, my pulse is 116 BPM, my face is flushed, and I generally feel on edge. I'm guessing Viagra is responsible. Anyone else have a reaction like this?
Thanks in advance.
Nothing to guess about, or ask us about either. Could be Viagra OR SOMETHING ELSE!
I think your guess is a good one. I had a BF years ago in clinical trials with V and he died of a heart attack in his later 50's.
Check with Doc Google too.
Doc Google is useless as a candle in the wind
If you are implying that your "BF" died because of the Viagra, you don't understand what the clinical trials were at that time (or any time)
Quote:
The sildenafil compound was originally developed by Pfizer for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain due to heart disease). During the heart clinical trials, researchers discovered that the drug was more effective at inducing erections than treating angina.
Your friend was sick with heart disease when he entered the trial in the first place. And, in any clinical trial, the medication is randomized. A certain percentage of people enrolled in trial are given the active med and the rest are given placebos!
Your "BF" may not have been on active med. But, he was a heart attack waiting to happen!!
Jim Fix was one of the original "jogging gurus" writing several best selling books on the subject back in the 70s. He dropped dead in his early 40s-- while out jogging.
When you have the symptoms like you've just stated, it's your heartuntilprovenotherwise.

Your symptoms stated in OP have nothing to do with prostate, testicles, lumps or bumps.
Glad things are back to normal, but you should still see your PCP or heart doc

I can't believe some of the responses here.
Okay; Viagra (aka sildenafil) is a vasodilator, meaning that it opens up your blood vessels. This is not limited to the penis; it can occur systemically, meaning through the whole body.
Sometimes the process of vasodilation can result in Vasodilatory Shock. Your symptoms were classic 'shocky' symptoms. A complete list of symptoms would be:
Confusion or lack of alertness
Loss of consciousness
A sudden and ongoing rapid heartbeat
Sweating
Pale skin
A weak pulse
Rapid breathing
Decreased or no urine output
Cool hands and feet
vertigo
anxiety
shakiness
You obviously experienced a mild shock from the vasodilatory properties of Viagra. Some of the potentials for this can be exacerbated (increased) by reactions with other medicatios you may be on. Here is the Product Information Sheet from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals:http://www.pfizer.com.au/sites/g/fil...Viagra_488.pdf
You said you didn't want to touch it again; so your instincts are GREAT & don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Vasodilatory Shock can sometimes head south very quickly.
