I agree^^. While I do believe you can find out a lot of good information by researching on the computer, there is an awful lot of questionable material from self-appointed "experts" out there. Some of it is downright dangerous, and yet many people don't even question it. I am a person who has long believed in doing as much as possible to prevent problems and treat issues naturally if possible. But I certainly don't believe everything I read.

So you think every doctor who has graduated from an allopathic medical has no ability to think on their own and has been brainwashed by the pharmaceutical industry? This may be true in some cases but these people tend to be more intelligent than most people searching the Internet for medical cures.

MrsM worked for one of the top specialists in his field. He flew all over the world to treat Presidents, Prime Ministers and Kings. But, he was wonderful and gave the same care to the common man

He finally gave up and retired at 62 because he was sick and tired of people coming into the office with a stack of Google pages saying this is what is wrong with me. Whe he did was throw all the pages into the garbage can and say "I'm the doctor that you came to, I will help you find out what's wrong with you!"

At least 50% of the time someone here's Dr Google was 100% wrong!!!!!!!!!

He now works in a research office and hates the fact that he doesn't see patients

We are only getting the OP's side (of course) - it may very well be that there is an issue of ignoring the weight, exercise recommendations, mental health issues, etc.

Oh for sure but in the 25 yrs of taking what I take from researching books, the net, friends etc I've NEVER been to the ER from a side effect from my supplements, but was with a Pharma Drug in the 80's.....given to me by an MD. I've been there Mike.

My prayers is that I can get thru the rest of my life with NO PHARMA DRUGS, the last one I could not wait to get off was Oxy in the rehabs for the staph infection. Terrible terrible drug.

On treating kings and their families, I have read for years that many work with homeopathy.

I had surgery this past summer and was prescribed Oxycontin. I only took a few but developed severe constipation about two weeks after the surgery. Having my diet get back to normal may have had something to do with it, but I had never experienced anything like that. I am paranoid to ever take Oxycontin again. I can't imagine how people get addicted to this drug. It actually didn't do much for my pain. Tylenol seemed to work better.

I took it twice for hip replacement and staph infection in knee and Constipation is a MAJOR issue...I dreaded taking it, and had my magnesium in the hospitals and rehabs. During the knee issue and it was months, I realized ibuprofen did just as good if NOT BETTER than the oxy. 2 every 6 hrs...now since using the HGH gel, I'm down to 1 every 6 hrs...would love to take NONE but I want to keep walking.

Thank you for such a clear & honest answer. Helps me to understand.

I am overweight and eat often not due to emotional reasons or depression, but because I get restless and literally cannot hold my attention on any task until I "address" the hunger and feed my body something. I am not overweight to debilitating proportions, but it would be nice to not feel so restless because sometimes it is not even accompanied by hunger pangs.

A1C is 5.6 (I do consume a lot of sugar throughout the day, admittedly) and ironically I have very high thyroid levels, not low. Trying desperately to find healthier favorite foods and discover which ones stave off the feelings of urgency the longest.

I would not throw out supplements as I've worked with them for over 30 yrs and can't say a lot of stuff things about allopathic doctors. Have you ever considered integrative MD's or naturopaths.

I ended up on 2 BP pills about 20 yrs ago and they keep my pressure in a good place.

The popping of joints is arthritis and I've been working with that one for all my life, 60 some yrs from a lot of wear and tear and exercise and dancing. We need to research and research and be willing TO DO OUR OWN WORK.

There is miles of info here in Alternative Med and the Supplement areas.
Wish I could get my BP working properly,Primary Care Dr. been trying since Nov last year, went to furosemide which will drop BP like a bullet.
He refuses to change my present meds 50mgMetoprolol Succinct ER and 40mgLisenopril/Hctz and Nifedipine at bedtime BP seems to be ok?? but constantly lightheaded and leg aches and diuretic not pleasant..
Did read that Nifedipine has had a warning from FDA and Bayer has discontinued it.He just started this one.
Primary Care doctors hard to get on Medicare Advantage here.
