Why does your finger hurt? A minor cut? Broken? Sore muscle? Hangnail? Accidentally amputated? The cause for the pain may suggest how to relieve it. Icing it, a hot pack, massage, acupuncture, etc.
AFAIK, Tylenol is supposedly safe to use if you have high blood pressure. If yours is really extreme, you do need to talk to your doctor before using any medications. If you can't reach them, maybe putting a cold pack on your finger would help until you can talk to them.

Tylenol is really a terrible analgesic. On so many levels. It is hepatotoxic and it really doesn't work.
I survived St. Joseph baby aspirin as a child. My children were never given Tylenol as children. I think it's a really bad drug. Their pediatrician actually agreed with me.
Your doctor does not exactly sound like a a gem. In fact, he sounds insensitive to your needs and just horrible.
Please search for a new doctor. Also, I have no idea why you have finger pain or what happened to cause it. If your current doctor is unresponsive, go to a hospital and have your finger treated. If it is treated, you may no longer be in pain.

It does in the form of Excedrin. The mixture with aspirin is the only thing that works for my headaches. Aspirin alone doesn't. Ibuprofen doesn't. No idea how much of a role the caffeine plays.
I know it isn't good for my liver, but IDK what else to do when a headache won't go away.

BC powder (old school, popular in the south with aspirin and caffeine) also works well. It is disgusting, but the powder seems to make it work faster. To the other poster, aspirin is horrible for children due to Reye’s syndrome. Tylenol is really the best for fever. It is not as good for other uses, imho. I think aspirin is generally safe with high blood pressure and the others like ibuprofen and advil tend to be worse. I know when I go to the doctor at that time of month (I get hormonal migraines) my BP is usually a little elevated from taking Advil or ibuprofen for a few days.
