So many of you are being treated for a problem you don't have until your doctor tells you to fast the night before the blood test.
An overnight fast will not normally lead to dehydration.

And when there is dehydration, there may be an increase in
many analytes.

Reading through this thread, I remember why we had previously been told not to talk about statins anymore.

Diet does affect cholesterol levels.

https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/files/docs...t/chol_tlc.pdf

Since cholesterol is deposited in the wall of the artery during atherogenesis it is insane to think cholesterol is not part of the process.

A fib:

https://www.heart.org/en/health-topi...risk-of-stroke

"About three out of four people who have a stroke for the first time have high blood pressure. And an irregular atrial heart rhythm — a condition called atrial fibrillation — is present in about one out of five strokes."

That is 20%, not 50%.

High blood pressure is a risk factor for a fib.
I agree with with Ayra on this one. Dietary cholesterol is not a risk for CVD. There is not enough sufficient evidence for this.
