With the Bay Area having a "shelter in place" policy my place of business completely shut down, we are not considered vital so everything we need to do can wait. Now instead of going to work a couple days a week, basically alone, to do paperwork/phone calls I'm staying in my house. I'll start by eating my way through the pantry and may do a couple take outs just to break the monotony. Looks like I'm doing all those little things around the house I've been meaning to do for 20 years instead. I set up grocery delivery to my 90 yr old parents with the first delivery time being this Sunday. Hopefully that works out because I'm not going to go out and do any shopping for them now. I'm resigned to being in the house for 3 weeks.

I wonder how long people can take being "Sheltered in place". I thought it would be easy I always wanted to work from home 100%, but didn't take but a week my wife and I really miss getting out to do things. Were in Phoenix were going to go out do some outdoor stuff hiking. Just the little things like going out to BBQ, or stake dinner hope this is over with sooner then later.

Not as much change for me as others.

I am retired and live at the coast and it is normal for me to fill my days with indoor chores,
some yard work, a little office work, then fishing or kayaking and a beach walk. It will warm up enough in a few weeks to read for hours on the beach under my umbrella.

Love my friends but am a introvert enough that isolation is welcome solitude actually.

I have enough food in the pantry & freezer for 2 months so planning to stay out of the grocery store.

It's hard to not be able to help others in my community right now but I can't think of ways to do that
without exposing myself.

I swallowed wrong at work today and of course I coughed. The reaction was the same as if I stood up and yelled “I have Corona!” and started coughing on people. It’s ridiculous.

LOL
Did you see the Facebook meme
"I used to cough to cover up a fart, now I fart to cover up a cough"

Want to do home grocery delivery for elderly mom too. How do you set that up (what sites are good) along with grocery selection, delivery, and payment methods?

I used Safeway. Since they used to be headquartered in my area there are tons of them, but some other stores may do it to. They've done home delivery around here for a couple years but I've never tried it before now. Just be aware my delivery date isn't until Sunday since they are obviously overwhelmed. And I hear they, and a lot of other places, are currently looking for drivers. They also say right on the website that the delivery may be delayed and there's a chance not everything will in stock but it's worth a shot.

A coworker was at work yesterday with a sore throat and a cough. (She always has a cough, though.) So now, my husband has quarantined me to one room in the house. As in, he won't even let me go downstairs to get my toothbrush. I have to stay in this room for a week because someone I work with had a sore throat.

I mean, I did expect to take extra precaution - maybe refrain from close contact with him, using gloves when I'm in the kitchen, etc. just to make sure that my coworker isn't sick with something more. But I feel like this is excessive. Of course, now I can't not comply because if it turns out I am actually sick and I forced him to be exposed to it against his will, I could never live with that.

We each have our own way of reacting to this stress, I suppose. I cried in his arms a few times recently. Good, long sobs to get rid of all the stress. I guess locking me in a room is how he gets rid of his stress. (Ha ha....sort of.)

So yes, my daily activities have changed, but more due to my husband's requirements than a reaction to the virus. I can work from home, and will, but other than that, I'm a pretty home-based introvert. All my activities are home. My teenager has a part time job that is still open for business and I haven't forbidden her from going, but she is required to take a shower immediately upon entering the house at the end of her shift. That's the trade-off for allowing her to keep working.

Hi,
Yes, some changes happen in my life during the Corona Outbreak. I am washing my hands frequently and avoiding go-to crowd places. Now, I prefer to make food at home rather than buying from a restaurant.
Thanks.
