COVID-19 season, watch out ... weight gain
- Before the long-lasting situation of COVID-19 epidemic, everyone has lifestyle changes and habits that are more or less unhealthy, especially for children, the elderly, and people with chronic non-communicable diseases. .
# 1. Breaking out of the epidemic suddenly ... obesity
Hanging around at home, sleeping a lot, limiting movement, limiting physical exercise (fear of contact with people), plus eating and drinking to increase resistance, or ordering food online, eating food Good for health such as instant noodles, canned food (due to over stock purchase) ... gaining weight is only a one-off thing.
Weight is a "hard to get back" thing, once gaining weight is very difficult to down, so prevention is still superior. This is especially important in children who are overweight, obese adults with hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, cardiovascular disease ...
# 2. So how to not gain weight?
First of all, it is important to remember that the disease is still complicated and not yet known at all times, so we do not wait until the end of the epidemic to abstain but change from today.
Pay attention, monitor your weight regularly, rebuild the order of eating, sleeping, studying, exercising and exercising in children and the whole family.
At the same time, they seek ways to increase the movement so that it is safe, exercise at home, exercise in the park where there are no people, wear a mask when going to exercise ...
Then do not store excess food. Excessive food storage creates many risks. Firstly, beware of eating lots of foods high in sugar, salt, fat (saturated, trans fat, cholesterol) which are not healthy for you, such as instant noodles, canned foods, dried fish, Chinese sausages ... stock but still see them every day and inevitably take out and use.
Some foods that are not carefully preserved and stored for a long time will have the risk of developing molds that affect health, increasing the risk of cancer, especially cereals, beans and dried foods. In addition, storing too much food and not paying attention to the expiry date also affect health.
Advice is still to buy fresh food every day, minimize the excess of unnecessary reserves, especially those foods that are not healthy. Other essential foods such as rice are filled with jars; Spices, cooking oil, fish sauce, soy sauce always have a bottle of crab is always enough.
# 3. Beware of being 'spread'
Avoid epidemics, people are prone to stress. Especially in the elderly, due to the habit of gathering, going to the temple, coffee, gymnastics with friends turned upside down, all day hanging around the house ... Therefore, it is necessary to find other ways to fill the void such as make calls, chat with friends and relatives, plant trees, garden, read newspapers, watch movies, go to the market, cook, embroidery, sunbathe ...
Do not sleep too much and do not confine yourself in a tight room with no open windows outside and no sunlight, which will easily cause stress and depression.
# 4. Continue to see your doctor and take your medicine regularly
Chronic illnesses such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, gout, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ... do not wait for the outbreak to cause complications. So do not be too afraid of the hospital environment without going to the doctor. Must go to the doctor, take medication to moderate.

So much of this doesn’t make sense, grammatically and common sense-wise. For example, DO NOT go grocery shopping every day for fresh food so you limit your exposure to other people.

People who complain about not being able to get control over their weight usually have a handy list of excuses for it. The pandemic is the newest one that isn't threadbare, though the laundry list of other personal failings people are trying to blame the pandemic for is getting very tedious. Until the pandemic eliminates access to food, the underlying reason for weight loss won't really change.
