If you test positive for COVID-19... (virus, immune system, hospital, contacts)

If you test positive for Coronavirus, what will be your response. Will you?

1) Broadcast the news to all your friends and family and coworkers and pretty much everybody you can get a hold of (social media, etc).

2) Tell as few people as absolutely necessary

3) Somewhere in between

And what is your logic?

My wife will know, of course.

Otherwise, I will tell nobody, except all you guys. I'll start a thread and give hourly updates.

Unlikely that I catch the virus- I have a near-bulletproof immune system.

I won't have a lot of people to tell since I work from home and I've limited my trips to once a week now, aiming for once every 2 weeks but that's hard as the stores are out of so much stuff.

We wouldn't bother with testing unless we end up in the hospital and they insist on it. If we get sick though, we do intend to tell our families who are the only people we've had contact with.

Perhaps the first answer in the poll should be "tell as many contacts as possible." Taking a full page ad out in the NYT wouldn't serve much purpose, but it would reach more people.
