Where are people getting their face masks? I thought they've been sold out everywhere yet I see people wearing them in stores, in the streets, etc. Any recommendations?
My wife and I bought N95 & N99 respirators with extra filters, as well as some other novelty masks, on Amazon back at the end of January when we were preparing for our 5-week trip to Southeast Asia, which was then scheduled for late February & March. We also had a leftover box of disposable surgical masks from when I was going through chemotherapy. Even though that trip was cancelled and we subsequently flew directly to Dubai for a substitute two-week excursion, I wore an N99 mask on the plane trip over and back, as well as throughout the airport. And since we've been home, I not only wear the mask whenever I go out (even just to my parents' house), I've also added disposable gloves. (Which we were fortunate to be able to order and have delivered last month.)
I found N95 (or so it says) masks with some online retailer, but only got 5. I ordered some regular 3-layer disposable ones & a 7-layer neoprene non-disposable one off Amazon. The latter was told to me by a hospital healthcare worker when I asked what us regular civilians should wear.
I think it's good to have disposable ones & a more long-lasting one too just in case.

Bought ours at Costco. But, have seen them online also
Heads up: these things smell/stink right out of the bag....I suggest opening the bag when you get it and unfolding the masks to let them air out. Which I did not do when I grabbed one to go to the doctors office. Truly awful....let them air out!
Well, double heads up: after leaving them out, open and unfolded for 24 hours, they still stink. And I thought that the one I used yesterday didn't stink anymore after wearing it for 15 minutes. So, I went out to the car and put it on to check it, and indeed, it still stinks too. I guess I got used to it. So now I advise people NOT to buy them.

Thanks a lot...deleting the link from my bookmarks. Sorry they're not good.
I'm trying to get my money back....truly like sticking your face in an enclosed bowl of vinegar. Their response to my email was that the odor is from the anti-microbial coating. They say it dissipates with time...but don't say what "time" is. Mine have been opened and unfolded for 2 days now, and the stench is horrid.
The speaker in video review linked above did NOT put the masks on at all. Moreover, she didn't check them on the CDC site, because she said she couldn't find any information about them. And that she couldn't read the writing on the masks (I can). She just said they arrived when they said they would and "seem" to be what they say they are. I'll agree with that last part, but really, if you're going to do a review, match the numbers to the approved mask list on the cdc site. Summation: she's a lazy reviewer.
Anyway, they are what they say they are, which I knew before I bought them. I simply can't wear them because of the stench.

I shared the video link not only for the video but mainly for the comments on the actual you tube site where other individuals shared their own experience with the product. Those are very helpful to read.
