Go out and enjoy yourselves.

Hospital occupancy is down from last month. So, there's room for you now.

This virus ISN'T GOING AWAY!

I will go out minimally for pressing errands, staying a few feet away from people.

No, I don't think it's safe to go back to "normal" unless you're in a city with a very low incidence.

I go out without reservation. Past 65 but my wife has some issues so I do most shopping in the bigger stores. No health issues and don't take any meds so I'm not worried about this and I'm pretty sure I had this stuff earlier this year for a couple of weeks. Longest I've ever been 'sick' that I remember. I keep my distance from others out of respect to their thinking and concerns. I feel bad for people that are afraid if they have no cause. Life must be hard living like that. I'll be glad when people are settled enough that I can hug my friends and shake hands again.

All the government has to do is yell VIRUS and you run into your house as if it's a big game of Simon says.

And the govt knows it now. How many more times do you think you'll be ordered to stay home in the future?

Lol, do you actually believe this?

LMAO. This is what intelligent and rational people would call skewed priorities.

Hallelujah and I am so happy to give my cash to the hard working service and small business people who need it. Gonna do everything I can to go out and stimulate my local economy.
I've been doing that all along - buying gift cards from local businesses, shopping local whenever possible - local hardware store instead of Home Depot, locally owned grocery instead of national chain, ordering takeout from local restaurants, etc. What was stopping you from doing the same?

I won't go anywhere that doesn't require masks, either.

This, in a nutshell, is what's wrong with our society. Congratulations for wrapping up heinous indifference in such a pretty little bow.

There's no proof of "herd immunity" yet. But we'll gladly allow you to be the sacrificial guinea pig.

Repeating the same post twice doesn't make a callous attitude any more valid or appealing.

I'm still wondering which freedoms I've given up. Please enumerate.

I'm not staying home. I'm going shopping, going to work, going for walks in the parks and around my neighborhood, taking nice, long drives. Why do you think you are being forced to stay home?

Yes to this, and to the rest of your post. The callous indifference toward others shouldn't be shocking, but it is.

Exactly. Honestly, I really do hope there isn't an upswing of transmission; however, science doesn't fall on that side of things.

Not a chance in the world that I will be going out as states begin to open their economies. If I HAVE to go out, it is with mask and gloves.

When the last city/town/county/area has moved on from the virus, then we all can be safe. Until then, we are ALL at risk from just one person who has traveled to an area where the virus is prevalent, comes back to our town, infects a handful, who in turn infect a LOT of people.

Nope. Staying in. This thing is really dangerous: brain aneurisms, strokes, blindness, permanent lung damage, not to mention headaches and tiredness like none of us has ever seen. You don't want to get it, and I surely don't want to catch it.

Cheer on the people who are out there. Moderator cut: removed rude political remarks that are not appropriate for this forum

This is nothing new. Viruses have never gone away and never will. One of them may very well kill you at some point. Whether it is COVID 19, flu, just a bad cold, or a new coronavirus.

Before COVID you took that risk every single day, whether you knew it or not. Did you wear a mask during flu seasons in previous years? If not you probably should have, Asian countries have known to do this for decades.

Point is that life will have to go on at some point, and we will be forced to take some additional risk. It is unavoidable. It is also unavoidable that one day, a far worse contagion that COVID 19 will decimate humanity. It is just a matter of time.

Cheer on the people who are out there. Hope they are all trumpers and don't make it to the November 3 election. He's be so proud that you sacrificed for him. Might even send your estate a letter asking for a donation in your honor. Nothing says "i care" quite that sort of solicitation.
And nothing says "I care" like your death wish on your fellow man based on his/her political perspectives that apparently conflict with yours, or their support of a president you so blindly hate.

Kinda negates all that ersatz concern for your fellow man dripping from your previous paragraphs, wouldn't you say?
