Read in a mag today about the top 7 foods for women, granted, every publication probably has different ones, and dark chocolate was on it so went and bought myself a Ghirardelli dark choco bar w/caramel. Hmmmmm

However, what is this 'benefit' from dark chocolate. My ex used to love it, what health benefit does it have for us? I'm sure more than a Big Mac, but not more than a tangerine? Ya think?

Dark chocolate contains antioxidants. There is tons of info about this...all u have to do is Google. It has also been discussed elsewhere in this forum.

Definitely health benefit "more than a tangerine"...
and since antioxidants prevent cellular damage and also promote cell growth, dark chocolate (minus the caramel) improves the brain, eyes and all other organs, and consequently improve orgasms. THAT'S why *I* eat dark chocolate.

First, I wanted to hear about others' experiences/input, and second, I don't have time to go looking all over CD to find ONE thread about this
So, with, that, allforcats, tangerines have pretty many antioxidants too, funny you said caramel, cuz my dark choc bar had caramel in it today MmmMm MmmmmMM
sanspeur - has your BP dropped since eating it?
My organs must be feeling good right now then....

That is all well and good except I have seen you inquire about several things on this forum and it leads me to wonder if this is the only source where you get your info from. When I was prescribed on Celexa I first went and read medical reports on it before reading forums about ppl talking about experiences, i.e. the side effects or, (funny) the medication actually was working for them but they were asking about how to get themselves off of the medication without suffering withdrawl symptoms.

How do you know if the info I gave to you about serotonin is actually true?

And if I really wanted to know all that I could about a subject I would use the search option and read all the posts about the subject.

Dark chocolate, the darker the better (high cacao content) is my first aid for warding off migraine. Had to do that yesterday, and it worked. Works every time.

Years ago my doctor told me to eat dark chocolate for other health benefits. Gotta love a doctor like that!
