That animals cure diseases is nothing new. There are some ancient and rather cruel, from animal protection activist standpoint, methods of healing human diseases, using live animals.

He's a beautiful horse, and sure seems to be a sweetheart.

I've heard of miniature horses being therapy animals-as well as being ADA certified as service animals ("Seeing eye" horses) as well. But I never have heard of a full size horse as a therapy animal.
