When I get the flu, I would usually have other symptoms like coughing, blocked nose and/or sore throat.
But right now, with this one, I just have a mild fever, loss of appetite, body aches and fatigue. Can you have the flu with just these symptoms? I am concerned. The doctor did say it's just the influenza, though she had me checked for coronavirus (results will come in soon). But maybe I need a second opinion.

Yes you can. There are different strains of influenza and your immune response to an invader can be different at different times. Maybe you are fighting it off more successfully right now (milder symptoms) which is a good thing! Getting checked for Covid-19 makes sense. I'd wait for that result before speculating more about it.

I can see you live in Australia where it's flu season and Covid is still sparse so your doctor is most likely right. If you lived in a country that's experiencing spikes of cases, I'd think differently.
I was tested negative for COVID-19. Now I just have fever (that fluctuates), loss of appetite and some chills. Body aches are mostly gone.
If this is a virus or bacterial infection, then it surely is a strange one.
Flues come with MANY symptoms, treat it like a flu and get better. As I always say and do for myself big time, get your immune system strong and healthy....

You don't have a first opinion yet. Doctor will give you one when he has the blood tests.

I would HOPE people especially adult people know when they have a flu. Go to a doc to find out, the doc does NOT live in one's body. I know the diff between a cold and flu.

Both colds and flu can manifest in similar ways, especially a severe cold vs. a mild flu.
I don't know if I've ever had the flu. It's doubtful I've gone almost 45 years on this planet without having done so. But I don't factually know.
I do factually know condescension when I see it, though.

Oh I had Asian Flu when I was 18 and that was about 64 yrs ago and none of any significance in the following years....maybe the Asian Flu did a job on my body back then.
You see thru condescension??? I see thru a lot of similar words from members too..amazing how intuitive we can be or not be. I get "tough" words socked to me a lot. Good thing I'm not a youngin with thin skin. Enjoy

Attempting to be polite in a conversation and not speaking as if someone else is an idiot (especially when most of us are not usually quite as "smart" as we like to think we are) is hardly a measure of the thickness of one's skin.
Could maybe be the reason for some of those "tough" words...but most of us aren't all that great at self-reflection.
