NYgal, I guess it isn't known for sure, but according to the Mayo Clinic:


"The cause of lichen sclerosus is unknown. An overactive immune system or an imbalance of hormones may play a role. Previous skin damage at a particular site on your skin may increase the likelihood of lichen sclerosus at that location."


So you got the flu shot at the beginning of September? I don't know when to get it---seems like September or October, so maybe I will split the difference and do late September/early October.

I always get the flu shot around this time of year. They advertise it a lot on TV, etc.

But I used to get it every stinking year and always wanted to die with it. I think I get a mild case every spring.
