I don't know what that is, exactly, but potassium is not good for your kidneys. Be careful and research everything you put into your body very carefully. I would see a doc for sure, but I prefer naturopaths, because I believe in holistic approaches to every malady (with exceptions).

Good luck.

Their diet certainly plays a part in it, but vegans usually have a holistic view of health, so it's their overall lifestyle that yields these results.

OP - what is your height and weight?

I was over weight in my late 20's and had high BP. Lost the weight doing low carb and the BP went down to normal.

HBP is nothing to mess around with. I am on a very low dose of lisinopril with zero side effects. Buy an Omron arm cuff monitor (they are more reliable than wrist monitors). Try to keep sodium under 1500 mg daily.

2-3 times per week is pretty bad. Treat yourself monthly, instead. Once a month is still bad, but not as bad as 2-3 times per week. Make tacos at home using spices - very easy to make and low sodium.

It's a myth that salt causes chronic high blood pressure. There is no benefit from a low salt diet, but doctors keep on recommending it.

A generally healthy diet and exercise should keep blood pressure normal. Do NOT try the drugs if your lifestyle is unhealthy. Improve your lifestyle first, and give it plenty of time, you can't fix everything overnight.
