Maybe a doctor can chime in regarding the safety of this zinc infused mask. (diabetic, symptom)

I ran into this product and it states that it has 99% anti-viral protection and is used in hospitals. My question is since the fabric is infused with zinc, will there be any negative effect breathing in any zinc particles, if any are inhaled?
I know after searching for info that breathing in zinc is not good and may be toxic. I contact the company and they stated that it is absolutely safe to breathe using their mask. I would just like to hear a second opinion, maybe from a doctor.
I want to buy this mask for extra protection instead of those disposable masks on Amazon but could not find safety information. https://sonoviatech.com/

thank you in advance for your time!
Not an MD but FWIW:
Of course you understand that wearing a mask is more about protecting OTHERS, not yourself, right? If you are worried about re-inhaling viral particles or bacteria from your mask, wash it more often or use disposables. As for zinc, why not take a zinc supplement that is formulated for immune system support instead? The absorption mechanism is different (intestinal absorption versus inhalation). Seems smarter to leave your respiratory tract alone.

Sounds like quackery. There will be people cashing in on the Covid concern with questionable products and this sounds like that. Better to consume zinc in food, or supplements than breathe it in, which sounds toxic. On the Mayo Clinic site it says not to use intranasal zinc because it can cause loss of the sense of smell - not a symptom you want during this pandemic. Besides, if it does that, it doesn't sound healthy.
Antimicrobial masks will probably help you if you touch the mask and want to minimize the transfer of bacteria after you take off the mask. I don't know about zine-infused masks. Otherwise, it shouldn't have any effect on protecting the flow through the mask.
The only bacterio static modalities that I know, being used in HC for years, if not for hundreds of years, are silver, copper and bamboo charcoal, last being a novelty of a sort. Silver been used for wound and other topical treatments for LONG time.
If you really want to, look at materials called X-Static. Knit Rite produces a bunch of various garments with that fabric. It has pure metal silver permanently bonded to it. Including elastic hoses and sleeves, that can be easily used for facial covering.
Ma favorite are their AFO socks with X-static. I call them miracle socks. They do stretch a lot, so size large cut off piece will easily fit around a head.
Each corespun sock is knit with CoolMax®, Polyester, or X-STATIC®—The Silver Fiber® with Lycra® spandex for superior moisture wicking and anti-microbial properties to inhibit odor in the sock
I had my patients close superficial diabetic ulcers wearing those socks. Great!
Beg to differ. Bacon-infused is eatery, not quackery!
Wait, wouldn’t that be oinkery?
