I'm surprised they only followed the group for a week after the vaccination. The incubation period is often longer than that.

In any event, it's promising news. Israel vaccinated early and often, which doesn't surprise me. For such a small country, they punch far above their weight class in medicine, biomedical research and innovation.

I got my Moderna shot yesterday. I feel fine, but my arm is pretty sore today, much more so than a normal flu shot.

I signed up on V-Safe so that I could report any oddities.

Very good news. I read where Israel is serving as a real-world test case for the Pfizer vaccine. The gov't supplies Pfizer with anonymous health data so individuals can be tracked for health outcomes over time. In return, Israel has access to vaccine and has already vaccinated 25% of the country's population.

With that in mind, the thing to watch now is how quickly the hospitalization rate and positive test case rate declines. It might provide a window into where the US is headed.

They will continue to collect data, but that is surely good news so far.
