I run my well water through an RO+UV system for drinking; couldn't be happier. Just change the filters once per year. I used ZeroWater for a while but the filters just didn't last long enough for how expensive they were. Might just have been my very high TDS water; better water probably would let the filters last longer.

Did you have to put in a dedicated faucet for that? We went with an under-sink filter system -- Hydroviv -- for our well. It just filters the kitchen sink water. We've first got to shock the well, wait a couple days, run the water a while, then install the filter. We'll then have the water tested. It wasn't real bad, but hopefully it's even better after being filtered.

I made the jump to RO a couple of years ago and love it. Will never go back to 5 gal bottles. The water in my area is terrible so it is required in my opinion. They tell you it's safe. It won't kill you, right away that is.

Anyway, Apec is the brand I got and am very happy with. They offer great customer service and it's good quality at a low price. I had a plumber install if for around $50.

This is their 5 stage system. They sell a 6 stage that adds minerals back into the water.

All things considered, what’s best?
I heard LINY had the "best" quality water. What happened? You all get "FLINTed?"

CostCo has a whole house system that seems to work, ok.
