I think I may have had it two other times in my life when I was younger, but not that bad. I originally attributed both times to food poisoning because I had just eaten at restaurants. It was more likely norovirus in the foods or on surfaces. It's often mistaken for food poisoning. It's a hardy little bugger being resistant to alcohol and detergents, and there are different strains of it.
I don't doubt that I am more vulnerable to norovirus than other blood types. It may be that I haven't been exposed to it very often.

Yes, I got it frequently when my kids were in daycare. It would be making the rounds and my kids wouldn’t even get sick but I would every darn time. It was awful. Luckily by the time they were in elementary school we were all well seasoned and didn’t get sick as often as we used to.
