That isn't the point I was making. You seemingly believe that coming from God's green earth makes it a good thing. I was pointing out that poisonous things also come from the same earth.

False distinction. If you consume it its a drug. I don't make up the definitions, argue it with Webster and the other dictionary folks.

We're discussing the use of cannabis. We're therefore talking about it as a drug, or medicinal substance if you prefer, not its taxonomic placement or ecological attributes.
Anyway I'm not interested in minimizing its useful properties, because they are real. I just like to see recognition that like all drugs it has some drawbacks and adverse effects too. Its not only "fantastic amazing wonderful" etc. A more balanced perspective is all I was advocating.
