My boss got testosterone shots once a month for years. He retired and I havent seen him in a while so I dont know if he was ever able to wean off the shots, but he had been taking them for many years and never mentioned going off of them.

Good point. My boss was overweight, lived a very sedentary lifestyle, never exercised and ate a lot of sugar/fats.
While some people have naturally lower testosterone and may need injections, the best, least intrusive and safest way to boost testosterone is also very low tech. You need to cut fat and build muscle. Muscle generates testosterone. It’s why I have far more testosterone at age 38 than most guys who are late 20s or whatever. Peak T for a guy is actually age 30, but that’s only “under best possible scenarios.” If you’re in ok or poor shape at age 30, and amazing shape at age 40, your testosterone WILL be higher, by far. The more muscle, the more testosterone. But fat basically produces estrogen that cancels out some of that testosterone production, so you want to reduce fat as much as you can.
For someone looking to start, I’d say higher rep weight lifting with a good diet - the higher reps will make it more cardio intensive, burn more calories, and help you prevent injury while you learn (because of lighter weight) and get your form right. Then switch to higher weight and lower reps for building more muscle and stimulating testosterone growth.

i've heard that the shots' effectiveness wanes over time. did you see any indication of that?
