I got introduced to this through my church as they currently have this installed. It’s an air purifier with the technology. Has anyone heard about this and would you get it in your home? It’s backed by science.

Well, if you plan to spend your entire life inside a sealed house with this technology installed or are severely immuno-compromised I suppose it might provide benefits, but the vast majority of people aren't going to live this way. It may make sense for a larger venue that is used by constantly changing groups of people. Also consider that every time you left your germ-free house you'd be exposed to what ever bug is floating around in the air. Once it gets into your respiratory tract its there and up to your immune system to deal with...breathing sterile air after exposure won't change that.

The machines are actually portable. They also came up with units, for your car and one you can wear on yourself. Their fact sheet states that it also works on spores mold, dust mites and can help people who have allergies, asthma and the likes. It also kills bacterias in the air and on surfaces. One lady at church said that her asthma has improved and barely uses her inhaler now. I don’t have any of the issues mentioned but I did get one to use mainly at my office as I interact with the public. Will see how it goes.

I already had both of my home HVAC system filters replaced by hospital grade MERV-16 filters that have UV built in, so it basically destroys viruses and pollen and all sorts of other things. Our house is sealed tight anyway as any modern, quality house is so it’s mechanically ventilated. When you live in a climate this hot, you need to make sure insulation is tight and air escape minimal. With these systems, it means we’re always breathing the best quality air. It’s worth it for me, but it was expensive. I have an aunt who’s sensitive to pet dander and we have a cat, so since we installed the systems she says she breathes amazing in our house even with the cat. That was nice to hear for me. I’m not particularly sensitive but I believe the place where I spend most of my time should have the purest water and the purest air. Health matters a lot to me (we have a full home gym too).
