Covid, after 10 days, starting to feel my health is improving. Telephoned where I
contacted Covid, was told some didn't want others to know they had/have Covid

Want to share my experience, get practical advice from others who have/had Covid.

Someone thanked me for informing people, it seemed I was well 3, 5 days after expose, the flu like symptoms aches, tiredness the next.

No, I was with a group not choosing the vaccine. Been screamed at for Not caring about
others; do wear a mask most times. We all make choices. Majority of folks .most kind, helpful.

DM, Post your experience if you have/ had Covid. Thank you.

Studies have shown that those who refuse to take the vaccine are also more than likely not to care about wearing masks or any mitigation measures needed to prevent the spread of the virus. I think people know that thus the push back by people. It was a good deed that you did by informing people that you were positive.

You should be isolating unless you are determining to be none infectious by CDC recommendations It's about protecting others. It is for the common good that all infections be kept down because viral mutants that come about in those who are actively infected.

Just hope that you are not a long hauler of symptoms. Recent studies also show some people infected get gray matter brain damage that might be permanent and some of those have been asymptomatic infections. What damage is done and one needs to move on until we better understand the entire spectrum of disease expression and long term consequences to be infected. We will only know that with time. One just has to ride it out.

Good luck.

Where are these studies you keep mentioning?

I'm not vaccinated, neither are my adults kids or grandson. We all mask.

At every store I go to, lots of people are still wearing masks here even though we don't have to in NJ any more.

Would non vaccinated people be less likely to tell someone they have an STD? Do they all fall in the same category?

I honestly think that knowing you have COVID and not isolating should be criminal. I know there was a couple who knew they had it and boarded a plane who were arrested as soon as they landed.

There was a kid at my daughter's high school who tested positive. The next day his parents sent him to school because he felt OK knowing damn well that he was suppoosed to be quaratined. Low and behold, half the JV football team of which he was a member ended up infected and several games had to be forfeited. That should be a crime. BTW, his parents are vocal anti-mask, anti-vax folks.

1) Private health information is private.
2) Social stigma do exist regarding a number of life choices with health impacts, including smoking, promiscuity, eating fast food, rejecting preventative care.
3) Some people don't want to deal with the stigma and are reluctant to disclose personal health information, even if it would benefit/protect others.

"For every single activity polled, unvaccinated Americans were dramatically more likely to say they’d be comfortable going maskless than their vaccinated counterparts."

"Unvaccinated, rather than vaccinated, are more likely to go out
However, many of those who are venturing out into public are unvaccinated rather than vaccinated, the poll found. For instance, 52% of unvaccinated Americans said they had visited friends or relatives in the past week—compared with 41% of vaccinated Americans."

I'm not impressed.

At least 50% of the people in the stores I go to are wearing a mask -- below their nose. Idiots.
