(1) Safeguard soap

(2) Dry Idea deodorant

I know we can get these on Amazon but it's a pain.

Any input?

Our Publix has no idea why they don't carry them any more. We asked.

Safeguard soap contains triclosan which the FDA has banned from soap, hand sanitizers and other products. Triclosan doesn't appear to be safe for daily long-term use. What you have seen is likely just remaining inventory.

Dry Idea may have been discontinued. It contains aluminum. I don't know if any action has been taken on that but I do know that consumers have been avoiding products with aluminum, which is a good idea.

Items that don’t sell well are discontinued.

I’m still mad Johnson & Johnson discontinued their cucumber melon body powder 7 years ago.

They are victims of Covid. I work in retail and there are still shipping and manufacturing issues affecting inventory on a lot of products. Some manufacturers have refocused their production on better selling items and put slower selling items on the back burner. Sometimes products that are continuously difficult to get are temporarily (or permanently) discontinued by the retailer.

Rather than asking the retailer contact the mfg company through their website or their 1-800 number. If you have the UPC of the particular product you're interested in it's helpful, but not always necessary. Generally if you give them your zip code they can tell you if, and at which retailers the product is still being shipped to in your area.

Smile Thank you!

I never knew that.

Now, my husband still wants his Peanut Butter Fudge Core from Ben & Jerry's!

Sometimes it's the store that will discontinue an item in favor of new items. Some of my stores have done that to me or that the items have been moved to another regional area in the US.

I have the same issue with Infusium shampoo and conditioner. Target used to sell it, then they stopped. Thankfully Walmart started selling it, now they don't sell it for the last 2 months. The only way I can buy it is through Walmart online or Amazon. I hate having to pay shipping!

I have to see if my local Walgreens carries it because they used to.

My wife told me that soft and dry roll on deodorant was suddenly gone from the stores. She bought a couple of cases on Amazon to stick up.
