I was just reflecting to my husband that most all of the as yet unvaccinated individuals in the US must be that way by choice, not due to lack of access to a vaccine.

Do you agree?

I was going to make a poll before I realized how silly that would be as lack of access to a vaccine might go hand-in-hand w lack of asset to city-data.

it has to be "choice" at this point. After all, you can get the jab at Wally's.

Remaining unvaccinated is a choice for 99.9% of the unvaccinated.

If you can make it to the grocery store, you can get vaccinated for free. Some people are simply opting not to get the jab which is their private healthcare decision to make for themselves.

Well that and a lack of ID.

I have, yet, to hear one person claiming that they can't get vaxxed because they don't have an ID.

With the exception of people with legitimate medical exemptions, it's choice for almost all of them. I'm sure there are some people in rural areas who don't have transportation, but vaccines have been available to all adults since April, so I think in 8 months, almost all of them would have had the opportunity to get a shot somewhere by now. I could see lack of access being a thing for boosters, though, since those have been available for less time.

I would agree, it is a choice at this point.

At this point anyone who wants to be vaccinated has already been vaccinated.

Third option: some people with allergies can't get vaccines. I suspect that's a very small percentage.

Don't you read or watch the news.

It's choice, not access.
