I was around my family who all tested positive. I got sick a few days later and didn’t test right away because I figured I had it. My husband got sick about 5 days after me. We finally did home tests (7 days after I was sick and my systems were pretty much gone except post nasal drip cough, and him 2 days later) he was positive and I was negative. Then we tested again a week later. We were both negative. Is it possible to text negative that soon after?
If it was a home test and you only did it once, and only in your nose, it could come back negative even though you actually had Covid. Next time (hypothetical as we all hope never to have it again!), test sooner, retest 48 hours later if it's negative--that's why the home kits have two tests--and swab your throat, not your nose.
Poster already started a thread with this question last month. I will leave the one answer but please, no more threads on this same question. Thanks.
