Patient is going to closest hospital which is one of the top for TAVR in the nation

Patient was told CT scan of Chest, Abs & Pelvis, Heart is needed.

Then Angiogram is needed to fix any blockages.

The CT Chest results are not complete.

Patient is yet to get Angiogram.

This morning the hospital calls and says they want to schedule the TAVR procedure even though the CT Chest scans are not ready and Angiogram has not been done.

Patient just calked the Dr office, awaiting reply.

Is this normal?

You wrote schedule the TAVR. Scheduling the TAVR doesn't mean its going to happen immediately. Maybe they want to get a committed date for the procedure on their calendar in order to reserve the facility/supporting staff. By the time that scheduled date arrives the other results will probably be available.

Usually scheduling is precipitated by a doc's order. Hospital is just wanting to get their ducks in a row. I see nothing out of the norm here. If the cards docs on the case don't have what they want as far as pre-testing they won't precede. Good for you for riding herd on this. Peace be with you!

Dr office said all the results are in. They will do angiogram same day as TAVR. Dr is highly confident based on test readings. Family had 100%+ faith in Surgeon.

Now patient needs blood work few dates prior. Patient hopes to go to third party (lab techs in his neighborhood) because he had incident with IV needle leaving bruise even after family told Radiology manager if highly sensitive and itchy skin (has Senior Pruritus)
