This gonna be venting and just overall issues that I am dealing with. I was applying to a bunch of jobs around the state and the one I got hired was in my hometown where all my family are. Family is excited but I am not that excited. Just feels like I am going back to my old life. Been there done that sort of deal, but its the only job that I got hired at. Its way better than my current job that is for sure. I mean I work less days, make 30k more, live in a fun area, awesome benefits. Sounds great. Its comfortable, its safe, but boring. Plus I am at the age where I need to start finding someone and settle down.

Adulting is just real lonely. In college everyone was same level and mostly single so tons of hanging out and meeting new people. Adulting life people working alot and you get home too tired to do anything fun. Hard to make any plans or hang out. If you are one of those people who are still single in your 30s then you will feel real left out cause everyone got their spouse or too busy to hang out. Just feel like nothing excites me anymore and life feels real dull lately.

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. That's a big part of adulting too. Put this job into context...nothing dictates that you can't ever look for a different job somewhere else in future OP. I don't know the current statistics about how many jobs people tend to hold during their careers or how many times they change those careers during their lifetimes, but chances are this won't be the last before you cast off this mortal coil. Take it for the positives it provides you NOW, then look beyond it. If the only thing the new job does is keep the rain off your head that's still better than the alternative. It's a means to an end. As they say, keep your eye on the prize...just remember it's up to YOU to decide what that prize is.
