That's how they wash their hands of any responsibility.

Scroll down to where it asks: Are you thin?

"A 2006 study published in the Neurology journal found that people with a body mass index - a measure of body fat - of 20 or less could recall 56% of words in a vocabulary test, while heavier subjects (with a BMI of 30 or higher) could remember only 44%. When retested 5 years later, obese subjects' cognitive recall dropped to 37.5 percent, whereas their thinner counterparts retained their level of recall."
My skinny DH can't remember a thing.

I take B12 or get it in plant milks...At age 59 never felt better--at age 54 I dropped everything and moved to Thailand utterly alone...The plant based diet, no drinking and exercise really helped me make such a move at a late age.

Mine either. Apparently he stores all his knowledge in my brain.

Except - that is not anything near what I said, so not sure how you can claim it's exactly what the food industry and their representatives say.

People might know better. They might not know better. There are some folks who DO know better, but choose to overeat anyway. There are people who are totally not lazy at all, but aren't able to get enough exercise due to physical limitation. That doesn't make them lazy. It just makes them "not getting enough exercise."

Your posts seem pretty hellbent on applying some kind of weird judgmental value to everything people post here. Maybe judging people is how you keep slender, I dunno.

I'd personally rather be a few pounds overweight, and happy, and not judgmental.

Why do you disagree?
I have no reason to "agree" or disagree. It's someone's opinion. When I was big into weight lifting without meat I would have had to eat every hour. Which also means spending a ridiculous time in the restroom. When I cut weight by a strict diet for competition I smelled horrible.

You smelled horrible from what, the plant-based diet?
I thought red meat was what made people smell like **** lol...

I had to eat a lot of salads, cabbage, lentils, beans and certain fruit. This stuff all causes massive gas. My roommates hated it.

Just so you know, that normally goes away if you continue with the diet.

I eat tons of that stuff, and I am not overly gassy.

Yes, in case you haven't noticed, this board is all about people, including you, making judgments. Your last sentence makes an obvious insinuation that people who are not overweight are not happy, and that overweight people are happy. The food industry loves you for that. $$$$

Your statement about being a few pounds overweight makes me wonder: If a BMI of 25 is overweight, what's the BMI of "a few pounds overweight?" 25.5? 26?

Even if you change your diet and have less gas, no amount of gas is acceptable if you have roommates.

I never tried a probiotic for gas and bloating but they do sell them:
