I heard that regarding Paxlovid and feel it probably is a rebound, but i took it in the beginning of June 2 1/2 months ago. Also, how can I explain the positive PCR tests and negative antigen tests?
It concerns me because people rely on the quick at home tests to be accurate. If I was not having surgery where the hospital required proof of a positive test, I would not know that I was contagious.

I am seeing a lot of people coughing as the last few weeks or so.

I see a cougher, I am staying far away from them.

Default Update

I saw my (new) doctor this past Wed & I really like her so far! She said to take Zyrtec & Sudafed & maybe keep a humidifier in my room & see her again in 2-3 wks. The OTC meds seem to be helping better than the Mucinex I tired on my own, unless my cough is just wearing off more by now since more time's passed.

Overall, the cough & spitting's a lot better.

That's a long time to have a cough without knowing why, over a month now. Hope you find out what's causing this.

And just to think - COVID could've been ruled out OR confirmed with a test sent to you by the government, which your tax dollars helped to pay for anyway so no extra charge, postage paid, and it would've taken just 22 minutes to find out for sure.

Instead, you chose this that and the other thing, these things, those things, that technique, that other herb, some of those supplements...

and a month later you're STILL coughing and spitting, and have no idea why.

My coughing has been a lot better to pretty much nonexistent since starting those OTC meds & I hardly spit anymore. The dr hasn't ordered any tests & these OTC meds seem to be working so far, so that will be it. What I fear is that they work like the Mucinex did...fine while I was using it, but back to coughing/spitting, when I stopped using it. I hope that doesn't occur again.

If it does, then she'll probably order some tests to investigate further.

The COVID test doesn't get ordered by your doctor. You can buy it from any store that has a pharmacy - a stand-alone, Target, Walmart, the supermarket..

And you could have gotten up to 16 tests - four packages of 4 tests each - sent to you by the government just by asking for it on the gov't website.

OQ:
I developed a hard cough and colored mucus, in early July. Not Covid according to home test strips. Not much of a fever if any but a bit tired. Cough for 1 week. Took 3 weeks for mucus to clear up.

I've had my cough (including throat clearing & still spitting) for about 2 MONTHS now w/ no other symptoms (no fever, sore throat, etc.) & I'm so sick of it. I went back to my dr a few days ago & she said to continue the sudafed & zyrtec & see her again if not gone in 3-4 wks. They help somewhat, but, I can't tk sudafed & zyrtec (nor Mucinex or others) forever, so I think I'll have to probe more to get to the bottom of this.

Regarding cough drops, I've tried manuka honey throat drops w/ 60ppm SilverSol (whatever that is) by the brand Silver Biotics (link below), but of course it doesn't take it away permanently:
