When I wake up I gotta have at least 2 cups of doctored strong coffee - creamer and sugar.
I don't really wake up craving anything; sweet, salty, coffee, tea, nothing. Usually, I'm not even hungry until I've been active for a while, which made breakfasts on workdays a rather forced affair. I definitely don't want the first meal of the day to be sweet! Now if someone came up with cheese-flavored oatmeal...

I still eat way too much simple sugars, but not for breakfast. Fix yourself some eggs and potatoes. The carbs in the potato will help with the sugar cravings, and the fat and protein will help your meal "last".
Who cares. It's 25 calories of sugar. It's weird but everyone's got their thing. 25 calories of sugar isn't worth worrying about.

OP, I have chronic dry mouth, mostly from ongoing sinus issues. I snore and sleep with mouth open. I cannot LIVE without my special Xylitol mints and I highly recommend them to you. Xylitol naturally keeps the mouth tissues moist and is good for your teeth. I pop them all night (they are tiny) The brand I use is Xlear. Much better than a spoonful of sugar.
