For the record, I know I look as old or older than I am. I was the one buying beer for my friends at 15. Back then it was great. Now, not so much.

Do people think your older or younger than your actual age?
I guess so, they keep asking for my ID every time I go to buy beer.

Today an elderly woman asked me to read a greeting card she was thinking of buying because she couldn't read the print, she said I could read it better than her. She started a conversation with me and I told her I was a senior citizen. She said, "I thought you were a kid, that's why I asked you to read it!"

Usually five years older they speculate - Guess they want me to rush to my grave.
Objectively I am not aging well. Skin wise or body wise
years of stress , poor eating habits (happens when your intermittent on poverty scale foods).
Funny thing is I used to laugh at folks that could forecast rain from their joint pains. Now I can tell when it rains or snow is a coming! My joints are dern near accurate on that
Sometimes though I wish I could be a tad more forgetfull...because the harshness of statements for us aging is neither pleasant or encouraging .

That's the second laugh I've had today!

I am always told I look younger than I am and it definitely makes me feel great but since turning 46 this year I have really started feeling old and I hate it. My family is cursed with life expectancies close to 100 years and I dont think I can handle that, even if I didnt look my age, lol.

Sometimes, when asked (not a polite question anyway) I would add 10 years or so. And when they say that I don't look that age at all, and say what they thought my age was, then I know how old I really look to others

Most times people try to be nice when guessing someones age....and that is why you think you look younger then you do. If someone says, I am 70, what are you going to say.....you look every bit of it.

My family is blessed with good genes. I am always taken for much younger than I am. I stay fit, I walk fast and I have very few wrinkles. When I mentioned to someone that I was going to my 50th High School reunion, they were shocked that I was over 50 years old. My mother looked great until she got sick at 80.

Depending upon state laws, merchants are required to verify that you are "not under the age of 40." If they don't know you, they check ID. If they know you, they just hit the verify button on the register.
