Yes, it's true that nowadays it's often difficult to tell someone's age. Your photo is a really good example.

Why is that so difficult to believe? One person I worked with recently thought I was 50. I was almost 71 at that point. They were dead serious. My response? "I wish my body FELT 50." No one is bragging on this thread.

The photo is not a good example because it's dark and out of focus (although the girl on the right definitely looks SIGNIFICANTLY younger than the other two.)

At age 50 I was once questioned by our HS principal about why I was in the hall during class time.

This was with my back to her, walking away. Apparently from this perspective I looked and moved like just your typical tall, gangly boy.

People are often surprised to hear that I am 70, and they don't seem to be just polite. When it comes to getting up some mornings, if they saw me they would guess I was older. I'm just lucky to still have a good head of hair (salt & pepper) and not a lot of wrinkles.

Exactly. Boomers who are 70 often do not look as old as they are.

I think I did look younger than my age until my mid to late fifties. During cancer treatment, many things changed physically, some of them permanently. I'm pretty sure I look substantially older than my age now. I now have 5 great grandchildren. When I tell them, I also metion that I started early as did my kids and grandkids, which is true. People think I'm kidding. I think the crypt-keeper and I would probably tie in a beauty contest.

Are we supposed to guess your age? Cuz you wouldn't like it if I was totally honest. That's why we have friends, to lie to us.
